2023 Graduate Thesis
This thesis explores the historical impact of cashmere, a natural fiber once known as a luxury. Throughout mass production, the quality of the fiber has decreased while the number of livestock in South Asian countries continues to increase resulting in Desertification. This thesis looks to explore new ways to create a fabric with the same fabric softness as cashmere while reducing reliance on the cashmere industry.
